Gus Poyet interested in Spurs

By Paul Healey

It could be cries of ‘Gus Poyet, my lord’ should he go the spurs, as is the title of the ex-chairman Alan Sugar, as Gus’ incredible success with Brighton this season resulted in his winning the award for Outstanding Managerial Achievement, at the Football League Awards 2012.

Gus has said he would love to take over as manager. However he has recently signed a long-term contract with Brighton and Tony Bloom, Brighton chairman, said recently on BBC Sussex that the club would do everything they can to keep him, but naturally expect interest from Premiership clubs.

Brighton remain unbeaten this year, the only club outside of the premiership in this position.
