Police have published photos of a man they suspect of a series of burglaries in East Preston.
The CCTV stills show the man arriving at Angmering railway station from Bognor Regis on the morning of Monday, January 30.
During the morning four houses were burgled; one in Lavinia Way, East Preston, two in Meadow Way, and one in The Darlingtons.
Digital cameras and laptops were taken in the Lavinia Way offence, where the intruder was disturbed by the householder.
The intruder ran off and all the stolen property was found abandoned under a bush at the junction of Roundstone Crescent and Clarence Drive shortly afterwards.
Nothing was stolen from the other three addresses.
The man is described as being about 5’9″, of stocky build, and with very short shaved gingery hair receding at the front, and pale skin.
He was wearing a grey hooded top, blue jeans and black Nike trainers. He spoke with what is described as an eastern European accent.
Detective constable Graham Milner said: “We believe this man may frequent the Bognor or Littlehampton areas, and anyone who thinks they recognise him is asked to contact us via 101 quoting serial 0762 of 30/1.
“You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously via 0800 555 111.”
