East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service would like to warn drivers that roads still remain extremely icy.

Watch manager Jacob Brooks said: “With night time temperatures dropping as low as -6 degrees Celsius and the sun not rising high throughout the day, this can make for treacherous driving conditions.

“Drivers are urged to ensure that their vehicles are well maintained and to consider the weather prior to any trip made.”
