The Spanish playmaker has been out for the last six weeks with a thigh injury, but could make the bench for the visit of the Sky Blues.
Gonzalo Jara Reyes is still out, whilst Mauricio Taricco serves the first of a two-game suspension for his red card at Southampton last week.
Speaking about Vicente, Poyet said: “He is available. Unfortunately for Vicente he is fitter than when he arrived but his match fitness is at the same level, so maybe we need to go through that process again.”
Danish goalkeeper Casper Ankergren is set for a recall between the posts after Steve Harper returned to Newcastle following his loan spell.
Adam El-Abd played a half in a 5-0 reserve defeat to Crawley Town during midweek, but this weekend’s clash comes too soon for the centre-half.
The Seagulls are also still without Tommy Elphick and Gary Dicker, who continue their recoveries from long-term injury.
Albion will be confident of victory against strugglers Coventry, who are without a win in their last seven Championship fixtures.
The Sky Blues have been boosted however by the loan signing of Gary Gardner from Aston Villa, with the midfielder set to go straight into the side on Saturday.
Albion’s defenders will also need to be wary of striker Lucas Jutkiewicz, who has struck seven times already this season.
Brighton Lite prediction: Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 Coventry City
